With valentines now in the rear view window (until next year comes that is) you may feel a bit at a loss with what to do with that left over loving desire, either for yourself or others. While you shouldn't have to have a specific day to indulge in treats, we get that sometimes you need that extra excuse to justify the luxury. So we are here to let you know that you don't have to wait till Christmas for the giving season, here is a mix of big and small holidays that can fill the role.
17th of Feb:
Random act of kindness day.
The perfect day to give a suprise to someone unsuspecting of it, putting a bright smile on someone's face is its own reward!
8th of March:
International Women's day.
Not as celebrated here in the UK (yet) this international holiday celabrates the fairer sex, for all their hard efforts and just for the wonderful beings that they are.
14th of March:
Mother's day (UK).
This classic is well known and for good reason, but we would be remiss if we didn't do our part in reminding you that it is coming up!
4th of april:
Whether you go for the more spiritual side or just enjoy the coming of spring and all the smells it brings, this is a perfect one to put into your diary.
International mother's day.
Throw your mother a curve ball by doing a mother's day redux on a day she is not expecting.
1st of June:
The day that keeps on giving, lasting across a whole month filled with celebration for who you are, reminding you that you should never be ashamed to be yourself.
20th of June:
The partner of the mother's day, it's always not to far behind and often would appreciate a new pair of socks, a tie or even perhaps a new car diffuser.
International friendship day.
Sometimes we forget that love can be more than just between family and significant others, for friends are the family we choose to have.
Well here you are, a small selection of holidays to choose from for just over half of this coming year that you can pencil into your planner. Be it as something you want to splurge on and need to find an excuse or just take the day to enjoy the company of friends and family together. Come back here in July where we will update you on what to look forward to in the second part of the year.
